College launches business training operation

By Samrana Hussain

Salford City College has launched a new training operation aimed at businesses.

Trinity Business Training offers Ofsted approved courses from pre-employment training, to degree level and post-graduate qualifications.

It is currently based at the De La Salle Centre, on Weaste Lane, but is preparing to move to a new base at Salford Quays.

Director Rachel Kay said: “The quays is now very much the commercial and cultural centre of Salford and, if we’re serious about providing high quality training to local businesses, then we have to be right in the heart of the action.”

Graham Pennington, chief executive officer of Trinity and senior vice principal of Salford City College, said: “It’s all about progression, regeneration and grasping opportunities. The level of support and training we provide at Trinity is tremendously important for the aspirations of the community of Salford and those in employment in the city.”
