Cartwright gains from Saint-Gobain expansion
Altrincham-based Cartwright Group has won a new order from haulier TM Logistics for four trailers and 12 demountable boxes.
The new business was prompted by the opening of a new site for insulation products manufacturer Saint-Gobain Isover UK at Gotham in Nottinghamshire.
TM Logistics, which already provides the distribution at Isover’s Runcorn base, added the transport contract for Isover.
The company has ordered four Scania R340LB 4X2 prime mover chassis with sleeper cabs, front and rear air suspension and demount installations to accommodate Cartwright’s Clearlift demount system.
Adam Purshall, TM Logistics’ head of fleet, said: “We had introduced the Cartwright demount system on another of our contracts and we quickly saw the benefits. Not only does it suit our exact needs - the service and support that we receive from The Cartwright Group is excellent, helping us deliver innovative solutions, cost savings and efficiencies to our customers.
“When it came to this new contract there was no doubt that we would be going with Cartwright again.’’
Steven Cartwright, The Cartwright Group director, said: “TM Logistics takes the time and effort to deliver the best possible service to its customers.
“We are very pleased to be able to play our part in that. TM Logistics is one of a number of companies that has come to appreciate how our demount system can be a valuable part of its operation.’’
The tractor units were supplied by Scania dealer Keltruck on a five-year contract. Keltruck has been supplying Scania vehicles to TM Logistics since the truck dealer was founded 26 years ago.
TM Logistics employs more than 350 people in 16 operations and warehouses across the UK. It operates a fleet of more than 200 vehicles and 300 trailers and its customers include Worcester, Bosch Group, Crown Food UK and Kingspan Insulation.
