Scapa’s Lennon announces retirement plans

Scapa Group Plc, (AIM: SCPA), the adhesive tape manufacturer based in Ashton-under-Lyne, has announced that chief operating officer Steve Lennon will retire next March.

Lennon joined the group’s board in February 2005, having previously led the reorganisation and development of Scapa's North American operation.

Lennon was responsibile for all commercial and operational activities in the European, North American and Asian regions of Scapa and was President of Scapa Tapes North America.

He previously worked for Touche Ross & Co where he held a variety of general management, operational and financial positions

Scapa also appointed a new chief executive this year, Heejae Chae, who took over from Calvin O'Connor, who is also retiring.
