Operating profits up 40% at Salford Software

Salford Software, a University of Salford-owned company which specialises in Identity Management software, has announced a 40 per cent boost in operating profits to £478,000 (2006: £339,000) thanks to a 28 per cent increase in sales to £6.5m in the year to the end of July.

The firm said that revenues had been boosted by a series of new business wins including Cornwall NHS Trust, The University of Nottingham and South London & Maudsley NHS Trust.

“We’ve strengthened our position in newer markets such as public sector and NHS, and we’re still committed to existing customers in the education sector,” said managing director James Doggart.
