Trafford Centre hotel to be £30m development

By Simon Binns

Peel Holdings has released more details regarding the 210-bed hotel it is planning next to the Trafford Centre, first revealed by Crain’s this week.

The £30 million development will create over 100 jobs and will include a 500-seat banqueting/conference facility, meeting rooms, a 200-seat restaurant and bar area, spa, gym and swimming pool facility for guests, and a multi-functional penthouse suite.

Peel is hoping to open the hotel in 2010.

Peter de la Perrelle, Peel Hotels director, said, “This will be the first four star hotel at the Trafford Centre and is an additional quality facility for the centre and surrounding areas.”
