AHD to rebrand as Mi

By Richard Morris

Visual effects and animation studio AHD Motion Imaging is changing its name to Mi. The Salford-based firm is adopting a new logo and within the next few weeks will release its updated website at www.wearemi.com.

There will also be some structural changes at the company with Ian Hogg, who previously freelanced for the firm, joining as creative director and Gareth Thatcher, formerly lead animator, taking up the role of technical director.

Managing director Tony Hartley-Denton said: “When AHD Mi was initially launched the focus was predominantly on architectural projects. Increasingly we have been working on creatively led briefs and animation work and the re-launch as Mi is a natural progression of our business model. With a strong team in place we are well placed to build on our achievements to date and drive the business forward.”
