North West firms attend Paris Air Show
The North West’s aerospace firms are setting out their stall at the Paris International Air Show.
In an event called “Aerospace Supply Chains of the Future”, North West Aerospace Alliance chief executive Martin Wright will describe how the North West aerospace sector will transform itself to meet the changing shape of the international supply chain.
Wright said: “During the NWAA’s event I will be setting out our vision for the future, and how we aim to develop the North West supply chain to meet the future shape of the global industry.”
The NWAA is leading a delegation of companies to the Paris show from June 15-21. Those taking part include Aerogistics Ltd, Liverpool; Exova, Edinburgh; Fibracon, High Peak, Derbyshire; Group Rhodes, Wakefield; Hyde Group Engineering, Dukinfield and Chester; Kilgour Industries, Thornton-Cleveleys; MB Aerospace Ltd - offices in Burnley and Leyland; Morson Group Plc, Manchester; North West Engineering Group, Morecambe; NWAA ASCE Programme; Oxley Group Ltd, Cumbria; Silcoms, Farnworth, Bolton and The Waterjet Group, Darton, South Yorkshire - with sites in Leeds and London.
The Paris show, which alternates every two years with the Farnborough Air Show, is the premier aerospace industry event. In 2007 more than 770,000 visitors, 142 aircraft, and delegations from dozens of countries attended the 131,217 sq m exhibition, which also featured 192,000 sq m of aircraft displays, along with spectacular flying displays.
The NWAA will host a large stand at the show, with the other delegates each showcasing their work to the thousands of trade and public visitors who pass through the event every day.
The NWAA will be exhibiting in the UK Pavilion, Hall 2B, Stand G93, and for the first time will be updating an online blog during the Paris show, at www.nwaablog.com
The NWAA event, “Aerospace Supply Chains of the Future”, will run from 9.00-11.00am on Tuesday, June 16 in the SBAC Chalet N223, Row D.
