Hill Dickinson help out at media festival

By Simon Binns

Law firm Hill Dickinson will host breakfast briefing and media workshops at The Media Festival, which will be held in Manchester from November 26-28.

The festival will feature screenings, master classes and discussion groups. Hill Dickinson’s media team will host a breakfast briefing and hold free legal surgeries on both conference days for all delegates, speakers and guests.

Henna Riaz, solicitor in Hill Dickinson’s Manchester-based media team, said: “Partnering with The Media Festival is the next step forward for us, on the back of our involvement at the Cannes Film Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.”

The festival is open to people working in digital media such as TV production, film production, commercial production, music companies, broadcasters, advertising agencies, games companies, web developers, mobile content providers, post production companies, interactive service providers, content aggregators and distributors.

Peter Bazalgette, media consultant and chairman of The Media Festival, said: “The Media Festival has been developed to address the critical commercial, creative content and digital technology issues collectively faced by the digital content industries. We wanted to get Hill Dickinson on board as the firm has a very strong media team. ”

The conference will run simultaneously at The Midland Hotel and the Radisson Edwardian.
