Space Developments plans 134-unit Green Quarter scheme

By Simon Binns

Liverpool-based Space Developments is proposing to build a three-block mixed-use scheme on Rochdale Road, on the edge of Manchester city centre.

The development, which is currently going through planning, comprises blocks of 15, 13 and 10 storeys, and has been designed by Unwin Architecture and Design, also based in Liverpool. It will be located in the Green Quarter, near Manchester Victoria Station.

There will be 134 residential apartments — 43 one-bed, 78 two-beds and 13 three-bed — and more than 70,000 sq ft of commercial space for use as offices and shops.
